Grundig attended the “All over IP” exhibition and forum, in Moscow in November, which is supported by many of the world’s leading security product manufacturers including Axis, Sony, Samsung, Panasonic and JVC. Key decision-makers from Russia’s leading system integrators and end-users visit the show to evaluate the latest product and service developments in the security industry.
It was within this highly competitive environment that Grundig was announced winner in the “Best New Product” category at the show, for its ground-breaking, standalone NVR range.
With 4, 8 and 16 channel options, the NVR range leads the industry with its Full HD, 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution video at 25 FPS per channel, in both live and playback modes. An embedded Linux operating system, developed by Grundig to provide a secure, stable and reliable platform, is tailored to the unique demands of security system applications.
“The specification is amongst the best in the industry,” explains Andreas Kronwald, product manager responsible for the NVR development. “Video quality and simple installation have been the focus of our entire new product development process. Indeed, it was the NVR’s simple installation in end-to-end IP applications that really impressed the judges. Each NVR comes with a built-in PoE switch, allowing direct IP camera connection. Grundig IP cameras are auto-detected and auto-configured by the NVR, including applying IP addresses and configuring the video streams. This feature, combined with pre-defined, default recording settings in the NVR which are suitable for a majority of CCTV applications, ensures a complete Grundig CCTV system can be set up and commissioned in minutes, with no specific IT training required.”
Standard functionality includes PTZ control, “Smart Timeline”, 3 click export for back up to USB or FTP, event and thumbnail search, automatic archiving of critical data and remote access. User access management is for up to 8 user clients, as well as flexible event activation by motion, alarm, video-loss and system alerts.
Connections include up to 16 Ethernet
