VDT Direct, the leading developer of rapid deployment video security solutions, has announced the immediate availability of a new, all-in-one rapid deployment video alarm solution. The VDT Rapid Deployment Kit (RDK) is compatible with most control room systems using multi-client software and is fully integrated with Sentinel Plus, one of the UK’s leading alarm monitoring solutions. Supplied pre-configured and ready to install a wide range of security surveillance applications, this new system from VDT Direct will also deliver significant savings compared to other similarly specified systems.
According to Clive Mason, Managing Director of VDT Direct: “This all-in-one video alarm has been developed in response to demands from installers for a solution that is quick and easy to deploy and just requires power. It uses best of breed components to deliver class leading performance and has the resilience to meet the surveillance requirements of organisations in any outdoor environment.”
The RDK includes a fully functional external PTZ dome camera with a 27 x optical zoom that delivers high quality images at distances of up to 120-160 metres range during daylight and up to 120 metres in low light conditions using the in-built IR capability. It incorporates the Samsung Winner V Chipset, 600 TVL resolution, colour day/night and multiple PTZ protocols. The kit also includes a built-in SerVision HVG DVR with a 160GB hard drive that provides up to 48 days storage capacity at 15Fps/ 320Kbps QVGA. MPEG format images can be downloaded via Ethernet or IP connections over the 3G network.
Also included are four wireless GJD PIR detectors, each with a detection range of up to 30 metres and one GJD wireless receiver. The RDK also has a voice announcement capability with activations generating a pre-recorded message or live voice challenge using a built-in speaker. These components are protected in an IP66, rated reinforced polycarbonate casing and the whole kit can be pole or wall mounted in minutes.
