Ascendent‘s SDI cameras integrate a 2.2 Megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor that renders high definition detailed images with accurate color reproduction and clarity. These cameras produce stunning depth making it ideal for wide-angle observational viewing as well as offering digital zoom in playback to capture even the most minute details. This allows these cameras to replace up to 4 traditional analog cameras. Not only does it produce high resolution images it also boasts an industry leading 30 frames at 1080p resolution and 60 frames at 720p. This in tandem with the progressive scan eliminates motion blur for crystal clear images even of fast moving targets.

Precision Optical Zoom

The optical assembly is precision engineered from special low dispersion glass (ELD-glass) to take full advantage of HD sensors. The ELD allows the light to accurately hit the sensor for razor-sharp images that maintain their details even after digital zoom. The lens is IR corrected and has an IR Cut-Filter(IRC) which filters out parasitic light during the day for vivid images with accurate color reproduction. At night time the filter is removed allowing the camera to capture all available light, enhancing its low light and monochrome operation. It contains a 4.5mm-45mm lens for an optical zoom factor of 10X for extreme wide angle to narrow fields of view.

Intelligent Light Control

The SDI cameras have a number of features and technologies such as Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Highlight Compensation (HLC), Targeted Backlight Compensation (TBL), and Auto White Balance (AWB). these technologies, as well as a host of others, are all programmable and allow the camera to capture images in even the worst lighting conditions ranging from bright light to high contrast.
