Uniview has released a new LPR (license plate recognition) camera in South Africa with high capture and recognition rates. The camera’s intelligent algorithm supports 10x optical zoom, which is useful for capturing clear details. The LPR camera additionally supports highlight compensation or HLC, so that license plates can be seen clearly at night, and to ensure the interference of glare from car headlights is reduced.

Part of the UNV professional range, this ANPR IP camera boasting an impressive 2 megapixel HD recording resolution and a motorized 2.8-12mm auto-focusing lens. This camera has the Starview chipset, allowing for full color at night. Supporting up to Ultra H.265 compression and 100m of IR range.

Since the algorithm is embedded in the LPR camera, the camera can recognise the licence plates directly. It can also be paired with the UNV network video recorder for ease of management.
